I was born in London 24th May 1957,I grew up in Milford (Surrey)I was shown the basic water craft skills of fishing by my best friend (My Grandfarther)Who was a skilled angler.I was a junior member of Godalming AS, before the Carp boom. We would fish Broadwater & Ladywell lakes, and The River Way.I was in a junior match the day England won the World Cup in 66,I think I came 3rd,and won a packet of hooks and float rubbers.I moved up to North to Blackpool in 71,fishing farm pit and The Sea.In 77 I moved to Preston.First fished the Ribble in 78.I Started work at Aerospace in 79.Became friends with some very good anglers.I spent alot of time on the banks of the Ribble,Lancaster Canal and local waters.My first Barbel was about 3.lbs,I had a brake away from fishing for 2/3 season.My PB Barbel is 9.lbs 3.ozs and came from The Ribble in 1996 season.Opening day 97 season I had 6 Barbel biggest 7.lbs 8.ozs,Plus 9 Chub.I started to fish the River Dane in 2000,I've had a few good days,(Had a lot of blank ones to) My biggest from The Dane is 8.lbs 7.ozs,I've seen and photographed bigger.A friend (Shakey) Had a 10.lbs 0.ozs one night.I never cast a line last season 04,Due to my canine photography,as I cover Dog Show for a weekly news paper.But this year I will have a day a week set by for Old Whisker's. I live in Preston with my partner Trisha and our 6 dogs.I have followed Chelsea FC since 1968.I have 2 daughters who both use to fish when younger.and 3 grand daughters.
